Recently, Bruno Mars surprised fans with his new album, 24K Magic, released on November 18th, 2016. Bruno Mars hasn’t released an album since Unorthodox Jukebox in 2012. Some fans would say a new Bruno Mars album was long overdue.

Bruno Mars, a.k.a Peter Gene Hernandez, rose to fame in 2009 when he was featured on B.o.B’s song “Nothin’ On You”. A year later, Bruno released his first studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, featuring his hit single “Just The Way You Are”. Just two years later, Bruno came back with his second studio album, Unorthodox Jukebox.

After this, Bruno took a break from writing and recording music until 2014 when he collaborated with record producer Mark Ronson on “Uptown Funk”. The song became a major hit for Bruno and Mark, winning them two Grammy Awards and spending 14 weeks at Number One on the charts. “Uptown Funk” became the second best-selling single of 2015, one of the best-selling songs of all-time, and the fourth most viewed YouTube video ever with two billion views.

Following the success of “Uptown Funk”, Bruno decided to work on another solo album, and eventually released 24K Magic in November 2016.

The album features nine songs, including the hit song “24K Magic.” Every song on the album has a classic R&B feel to it, and is very reminiscent of the nineties R&B era of music. Along with “24K Magic”, there’s also “Chunky”, “Perm”, “That’s What I Like”, “Versace On the Floor”, “Straight Up and Down”, “Finesse”, “Too Good to Say Goodbye”, and “Calling All My Lovelies”, which features Halle Berry’s “voicemail” that plays after Bruno tries to call her. Watch Bruno bring down the house at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show performing “Chunky”!

Almost a month after releasing 24K Magic, Bruno appeared on James Corden’s famous Carpool Karaoke segment of the Late Late Show. Bruno’s appearance immediately went viral and received millions of views on YouTube within the first few days of its premiere. In the video, Bruno not only sings his new songs beautifully, but he also shows James his signature dance moves for his song “Versace On The Floor”. James also gushes over Bruno’s ability to look adorable in anything and everything he wears, no matter how crazy the style is. James hands Bruno multiple hats that he thinks he can pull off, and Bruno definitely works it! He also reveals to James that he was a young Elvis impersonator (at four years old!), demonstrating Elvis’ signature lip and singing “Jailhouse Rock”! Bruno has an amazing personality and humbleness on top of his insane vocals, dance moves, and his experience in the industry, making him Man Crush Monday worthy. See for yourself in the Carpool Karaoke video below.

Bruno Mars took risks on 24K Magic, telling Rolling Stone Magazine, “I don’t know if radio is going to play it. But what I don’t want to have happen is I put it out and say, ‘Damn it, if I’d just done this and this, maybe it would have had a shot,'” (Rolling Stone). 24K Magic is currently second on the Billboard 200 chart and first on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop album chart. Take a listen to “24K Magic” below.

Bruno’s voice, style, dance moves and musicianship prove that he is deserving of the title of Man Crush Monday, if not Man Crush Everyday. And who can forget about his looks?! His beauty is the cherry on top of his remarkable skills. Just see for yourself!

Bruno Mars will be going on a world tour for 24K Magic beginning March 28th, 2017 in Antwerp, Belgium, and will end his tour on November 11th, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA at The Forum. You can buy your tickets at http://www.brunomars.com/tour.
