Ah, the Jonas Brothers. Disney Channel’s hit boy band from the late 2000s, and your first celebrity crushes. Remember the days of staying up late to watch the Disney Channel premiere of Camp Rock, and begging your parents to drive you to Target to pick up the JoBros’ latest album? Those were the good ole days. The days of innocent fangirling over every aspect of the Jonas Brothers’ lives and careers. Let’s reflect on the things you used to fangirl over the Jonas Brothers for.
1. Nick’s Curly Locks
Let’s throw it back to when Nick had his signature curly hair. You remember fangirling over how cute he looked with curly hair.

MANLY CURLS
And then crying when he cut it all off.

2. Joe Jonas’ Distinct Eyebrows
You remember wondering how Joe Jonas groomed his eyebrows…

And when he told us that his mom made him get his eyebrows waxed one time on an episode of MTV’s When I Was 17.

Here’s Joe with his eyebrows waxed at 17.

3. When They Starred in Camp Rock
Remember when Camp Rock premiered on Disney Channel on June 20th, 2008? I know I do! I remember waiting anxiously in front of the TV for the Jonas Brothers to appear. I even pre-ordered the Camp Rock DVD at the Disney store, bought a Camp Rock jacket and bought Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas dolls. I guess you could say I was a “dedicated fan”.

4. Knowing Random “Useless” Facts About Them
Like how Joe accidentally tripped in the Camp Rock scene where he was running away from his fans, and they decided to keep it in the final cut of the movie. Yup, that wasn’t on purpose.

Or how Kevin’s name isn’t actually Kevin. Yeah, it’s really Paul Kevin Jonas II, after his father.

TUMBLR
You know that they were actually born in different states. Papa Jonas was a minister, and that required a lot of traveling, especially when Mama Jonas was pregnant. Kevin was born in New Jersey, Joe was born in Arizona, and Nick was born in Texas.

5. When Kevin Got Married
All those years you wondered, “Where is Kevin’s girlfriend?” You assumed he was just waiting till he met you. When you heard the news that Kevin was engaged, you were SHOOK. Literally, it took you by surprise. But you were so happy for him, you even cried when you saw his wedding photos. Seriously, it was beautiful!

6. Keeping Up with Every Single One of Their Breakups and New Girlfriends
You became a master at “Keeping Up with The JoBros”. You knew when Joe broke up with Taylor Swift on the phone, and how she wrote a song about it. You also knew how Joe fired back with the JoBros’ song “Much Better” in the lines:
I get a rep for breakin’ hearts
Now I’m done with superstars
And all the tears on her guitar
I’m not bitter.

7. You can name all their past and current girlfriends
Kevin dated Zoe Myers and Danielle Jonas (his current wife).

ONET
Joe dated AJ Michalka, Taylor Swift, Camilla Belle, Demi Lovato, Ashley Greene, Blanda Eggenschwiler, and Gigi Hadid.

TEEN VOGUE
Nick dated Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Delta Goodrem, and Olivia Culpo (his inspiration for Jealous).

8. When You Realized You Could Attend a JoBros Concert for Under $15
You waited in line at your local movie theater dressed in JoBros merch, ready to experience a Jonas Brothers’ concert in 3D, and it was a glorious moment in your young life.

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD
The Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience movie was so good, you even purchased the DVD as soon as it was released in stores. I know I bought it at Blockbuster (R.I.P) to enjoy with my fellow JoBro fans.
9. When the JoBros Appeared in An Episode of Hannah Montana
Just like any other premiere featuring the JoBros, you waited right by your TV, ready to watch the Hannah Montana episode they were featured in.
You thought it was so cute how Nick had a little crush on Hannah in the show, and they dated in real life. You also used to call them “Niley”.
10. Joe’s Terrible Dance Moves
Like his go-to move that looks like he needs to use the bathroom.

Or the time he danced to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” to promote their Lines, Vines, and Trying Times album release in 2009.
11. How Much They Love Their Family
The JoBros were notorious for being family guys. Their love for their parents, their younger brother and each other made you swoon.

They included their youngest brother, Frankie, aka the Bonus Jonas, in a lot of their shenanigans. He even had a role in Jonas L.A and Camp Rock 2, alongside his brothers! Frankie was basically the unnamed fourth member of the Jonas Brothers, despite him being significantly younger than his brothers.

12. When They Made Hilarious, Memorable Videos on YouTube
Remember your fave show ever? The Nick Jonas Show?
Or who could forget this classic video?
And their “Bounce” collaboration with Demi Lovato and Big Rob will have you “doing the chicken wing”!
Iconic.
13. When They Collaborated with Fellow Disney Stars
Remember Disney Channel’s Friends for Change? The Jonas Brothers joined Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, the biggest Disney Stars of 2009.
They also collaborated with Demi Lovato on her debut solo album in the song “On the Line”, and with Miley Cyrus on “Before the Storm”. Here’s Demi and the Jonas Brothers performing “On the Line” live while Kristi Yamaguchi ice skates.
14. Young Nick Jonas’ Voice
Nick was in fact the reason the Jonas Brothers became famous. He was singing in a hair salon while his mom got a haircut, when he was discovered, and the rest is history. Although every brother is a vital member of the band’s sound and success, we have to appreciate young Nicholas Jonas’ pipes. Listen to his song “Appreciate” below, and see for yourself.
15. Their Songs Are Inspirational and Have Meaning
The Jonas Brothers are more than just “Burnin’ Up” and “S.O.S”. Their song “A Little Bit Longer”, off their album with the same name, is about Nick’s struggle with Type 1 diabetes.
Throughout the years, Nick has been a role model for fans with diabetes and has brought awareness to the disease. I actually learned what diabetes is and what it does to those who have it because of Nick Jonas.
Listen to “A Little Bit Longer” below:
16. You Bought Teen Magazines Only for the Posters of the Jonas Brothers
You begged your parents to buy “Tiger Beat” magazines for you just so you could rip out posters of the Jonas Brothers and put them on your wall.
You had a whole layout and everything. One wall for Kevin, one for Joe and a special wall for Nick. You started learning about home design at a young age. Your walls looked like a fangirl masterpiece.

Literal fangirl goals.
17. You Had Your Own Favorite from The Band
Every fan of the Jonas Brothers had their own favorite JoBro. You can’t deny it, there was just one boy who made you swoon!
My favorite was Joe. His straight hair that was parted to one side, his piercing smile, and his humor were the reasons for my JoBros obsession (besides their amazing vocals and guitar skills, of course!).
You were so obsessed with your favorite JoBro that you’d become defensive when your friend who was a fan of another brother in the group would argue with you over which brother was better. Sadly, there wasn’t much love for Kevin out there, but it’s OK because I’m sure his wife is making up for it!

18. You Cried When the Jonas Brothers Broke Up
The Jonas Brothers were on the verge of breaking up in the early 2010s. It was going to happen sooner or later, but nobody expected it to come so soon. With Kevin recently getting married to Danielle and starting a family, to Joe making plans for a solo album, and Nick planning to launch his solo career. On the surface, it seemed like their breakup happened so abruptly. What fans couldn’t see, was that the Jonas Brothers’ breakup was inevitable.
There was a lot of tension between the brothers, as Kevin and Joe described it in multiple interviews following their breakup. They couldn’t agree on anything musically or where the direction of the band was headed. They had too many clashing opinions.
As Joe told Vulture magazine in his article “My Life As A Jonas Brother”, the brothers got together for what they thought was a meeting about releasing their new music, and it turned into a big fight. Joe was screaming, and Nick suggested that they close that chapter of their lives and move on from the band.
After that, the entertainment world didn’t hear much from the Jonas Brothers, until Kevin had his first-born child, Alena, Nick released his self-titled solo album, and Joe formed his new band, DNCE.
The Jonas Brothers have moved on since their Disney days, and although they’re pursuing their own endeavors, they have become stronger as a family. That’s what’s always been important to them. Family is what made the Jonas Brothers, brothers. Although they aren’t making music together anymore, we can still reflect on the good ole days of JoBro fangirling.
