Check out the Mysterious Trailer for Phantom Thread

The trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson's next film, Phantom Thread, dropped this week, and it looks positively stunning!

Set in 1950s London, the mysterious teaser hints at a relationship between a dressmaker, played by Daniel Day-Lewis, and his younger muse, played by Luxembourg-born actress Vicky Krieps.

Anderson is famous for directing movies like There Will Be Blood and The Master. Anderson and his films are always staples of Oscar season, and Phantom Thread is already shaping up to be no exception. Nominations for the luscious costume design and incredible cinematography are already predicted to be locks, and watch out for a supporting actress nomination for newcomer Vicky Krieps.

The real star, however, is three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis, who is surely gunning for a fourth Oscar with his performance in Phantom Thread. In fact, this is the revered actor's final performance before retirement, so this is one that members of both the movie-going public and teh industry at large are going to want to check out when it hits theaters.
