It's no secret that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber recently got back together. The star couple first dated back in 2010 and have had a rocky road since then. They finally seem at peace now reuniting yet again in 2017. Selena was chosen as Billboard's Woman of the Year and said in her interview, "I'm 25. I'm not 18, or 19, or 20. I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn't right. But that doesn't mean caring for someone ever goes away. And [that goes for] people in general."
Let's not forget she also recently broke up with her 10-month ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd. Turns out they remained good friends according to Billboard magazine. Some questions were raised after that interview, though, since the two famous singers recently unfollowed each other on social media.
This past year Gomez also underwent a kidney transplant from her best friend Francia Raisa because of her Lupus diagnosis. We can never forget the heartwarming picture Selena posted of the two best friends with the caption, "She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me."
Selena has also proven just how much she's grown over these past couple of years with all the stress and hardships she had to endure growing up in the spotlight. She explained, "There's so much anxiety and angst, and the pressure just keeps getting worse. [But] I'm proudest of not becoming jaded... I'm going to have the bad days where I don't want to leave my bedroom - but I'm ready for them."
She's also explained how now that she's older, she has learned to realize who she should and shouldn't listen to as well as fully accepting who she is as a person instead of changing who she truly is for the sake of others.

"I've had to accept where I am," she said. "It took me about five years and moments where I needed to step away and be alone and fight those fights on my own, or go away to a place where I could focus on that. And that time for me was so painful and really hard and very lonely. But I really, really felt that that's what helped me feel satisfied with where I am." Selena has truly grown up and become quite the role model for young girls.
