FOX Celebrtes The Holidays With A Christmas Story Live!

The holiday season is here, which can only mean one thing - it's time for live musicals on network television!

NBC brought us The Sound of Music Live! in December 2013 and since then the race has been on between the big networks as to who can put on the biggest and best live spectacle. With previous years bringing us the strong entrants of both The Wiz Live! and Grease Live!, FOX has decided to put its weight behind a new live production - A Christmas Story Live!

With music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the songwriters behind the music in last year's hit film La La Land and the Tony Award winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, A Christmas Story Live! is based on the eponymous 1983 classic film.

This live television event features an incredible cast, with Matthew Broderick playing the narrator and newcomer child-actor Andy Walker playing Ralphie. Also featured are comedic greats Maya Rudolph as Ralphie's mother and Ana Gasteyer as Mrs. Schwartz. If all those fantastic performers weren't enough, fans of 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will excited to see Jane Krakowski playing Miss Shields. Readers that know the musical know that Krakowski will sing what is arguably the best number in the whole show, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out."
