Throwback to High School Musical: Where Are They Now?
We all grew up loving High School Musical. We always thought they would stay the same age but people do change and grow up! They'll always be a part of the East High Wildcats legacy but let's take a look at where the stars are now.
Zac Efron (Troy)
The heartthrob of Eastside High is still one of the biggest heartthrobs in Hollywood! Zac is now 30 years old and has starred in movies including Hairspray, Neighbors, Dirty Grandpa, and Baywatch. He is returning to his musical roots starring in the upcoming film, The Greatest Showman, with celebs Hugh Jackman and Zendaya, proving he truly can accomplish anything. Can you believe he's still single?
Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella)
The sweetheart of High School Musical is no longer together with Zac Efron but she is thriving on her own. She probably told him "I gotta go my own way." Since then, Vanessa has starred in movies including Bandslam, Beastly, Spring Breakers and Gimme Shelter. Vanessa still taps into her musical background starring in Broadways's Gigi and as Rizzo in Fox's Grease: Live!. Most recently, she appeared in NBC's sitcom Powerless and is now filming a romantic comedy with everyone's favorites, Finn Wolfhard and Nina Dobrev. She is now 28 years old and looks amazing!
Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay)
The most feisty of the High School Musical crew is more calm, cool, and collected at 32 years old. After High School Musical, Ashley began to focus on her music and acting career all at once. Ashley has released albums including Headstrong and Guilty Pleasure. She also rocked the role of Candace Flynn in Phineas & Ferb. Ashley returned to television in 2010 as a main character on Hellcats and became an executive producer on the popular sitcom Young & Hungry. She also launched her own makeup brand "Illuminate" over a year ago. She settled down and married singer Christopher French in 2014. On top of all of this, her friendship with Vanessa Hudgens still remains strong.
Lucas Grabeel (Ryan)
The quirky one of the group has managed to land himself roles in The Adventure of Food Boy, the Halloweentown series, Switched at Birth, and even a little voiceover work for Disney Junior. He is now 33 years old and very well-rounded as he is an actor, director, producer, singer, and songwriter. At least he doesn't have to put up with Sharpay anymore!
Monique Coleman (Taylor)
The smartie in the group has never failed to let us down. She competed on Dancing with the Stars and finished in fourth place and guest-starred in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. After High School Musical and The Suite Life, Monique hasn't really continued her acting career. Monique gives back to her community and focuses on empowering young activists! At 37 years old, she is married to former basketball player Walter Jordan.
Corbin Bleu (Chad)
The loyal best friend is still as kind and as loyal today! He donates to many charities and even serve Thanksgiving dinner to homeless shelters. After High School Musical, Corbin starred in Jump In!, where we get the hit single "Push It To The Limit." Corbin appeared in Broadway shows like In The Heights and Holiday Inn, The New Irving Berlin Musical. Most recently, he played Sky in the Hollywood Bowl's production of Mamma Mia! He also competed on Dancing with the Stars coming in second place. Corbin, now 28 years old, continues to work on his acting in television and musicals today.
